Bill and Martha Freeman Outreach’s mission is to enrich the lives of low-income individuals and families by providing a comprehensive range of support services, programs, activities and opportunities.  Our goal is to empower families by being a reliable resource for the community. 

 

Community Outreach

Referral Services - Provide referral services which includes: legal, housing, domestic violence, health care, homeless or displaced, food bank, clothes, social service, mental illness and substance abuse.

 

Clothing Pantry - This program provides low-income families who are in need.  We plan to solicit individuals and retailers to donate quality items and our agency will distribute the items free to needed individuals.

 

Educational/Career Development - Provide classes that will help with advancement of skills and careers such as basic computers, how to get a job, resume development, how to dress for success.

 

Food Pantry - Provide a free food pantry for those who are in need. 

 

Health Screenings - Our plans are to offer free health screening to the community.  Our plans are to utilize medical professionals on a volunteer basis.

 

Youth Services

This program component will focus on equipping, encouraging and empowering our youth by providing valuable resources to help with the development of leadership, social responsibility and academic excellence.

 

  • After School Services - Our plans are to offer after school services to school aged children between the ages of 5 and 17.  Services will include homework assistance and tutorial services.  We will solicit volunteers from the community who specialize in tutoring.  This is a planned component of our agency.

 

  • Youth Activities/ Sports - Our plans are to offer various activities and team sports for the youth within our community. The activities and teams will include football; basketball, cheerleading, soccer, golf and horse back riding.

  • Educational/Resource Center

    • Academic Tutoring

    • Mentoring

    • Monthly Focus Groups

    • Financial Workshops (How to budget, banking, importance of credit)

    • College Prep and acceptance; college tours

    • Cultural trips for the purpose of exposure to inspiring lifestyles

    • Personalized Educational/Career Track Plans

    • Job Skills and Placement

    • Computer Lab Access

    • High School Equivalency Programs (GED)

    • Transportation Services

 

Ex-Offenders Program

This program component will draw on the need of individuals self development by providing the following components:

 

Alternative Living Facility - Our facility will provide temporary housing (maximum 90 days to ex offenders).

 

Toiletries -We plan to help ex-offenders with toiletries.

 

Food - We plan to provide the ex-offenders with balance meals.

 

Referrals - This component will assist homeless men and women with referrals such as: employment agencies, social services, GED services, adult rehab facilities, child support services, legal services, medical services, etc..

 

Mental Health Services -Our goal is to provide mental health services to treat various disorders including but not limited to: anxiety, mood, personality, behavioral, substance use/abuse, relationship conflict, anger management as well as past or current trauma.

 

Homeless Program

This program component will help to establish self-sufficiency in homeless men, women and children by offering them a place of hope, pride and resources.

 

Program Components:

 

Emergency Shelter - We plan to provide emergency shelter to homeless men, women and children. This is a planned component and a location has not been identified.

 

Clothing & Toiletries -We plan to help the homeless with clothing and toiletries.

 

Food -We plan to provide homeless men, women & children with balanced meals.

 

Referrals - This component will assist homeless men and women with referrals such as: such as employment agencies, social services, GED services, adult rehab facilities, child support services, legal services, medical services, etc..

 

Drop in Center - We plan to provide employment and life skill resources for homeless men, women & children.  This service will help with basic job skills, resume development, job searches, how to dress during an interview, life management classes, etc..

 

Transitional Housing - Our facility will provide temporary housing (maximum 24 months) for homeless men, women & children. This facility will provide an opportunity for self-examination, privacy and refuge.  This is a planned component and a location has not been identified.

 

Health Screening - Our plans are to offer free health screenings to homeless men, women and children.  Our plans are to utilize a certified nurse and or doctor on a volunteer basis. 

 

Elderly Program

Assistant Living - Our plans are to offer assistant living to the elderly.  This facility is a planned component and a location has not been identified.

 

Transportation Services - Provide transportation services to doctor appointment, social activities and business transaction appointments. 

 

 

Financial Program

Financial Literacy and Counseling - This program provides budget and debt education and counseling.  Consumers who are financially overextended due to job loss, divorce, hospitalization or overspending can learn about the financial options.

 

Homebuyer Education and Counseling - Prospective homebuyers come to William Bill Freeman Foundation to find answers regarding all aspects of the home buying process, including qualification, affordable housing options, the home buying process and home maintenance.  

 

Foreclosure Prevention - Our agency will provide foreclosure counseling with the intention of educating and helping them to avoid losing their homes.

 

Tenant and Landlord Counseling - This program provides counseling and education for both tenants and landlord, including information on local city ordinances and federal acts that affect tenant and landlord relationships. 

 

Our plans are to implement our programs through workshops, seminars, one on one counseling and group sessions.

 

Our future plans are to team up with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development to become HUD certified housing counselors in order to effectively provide advice on buying a home, renting, defaults, foreclosures and credit issues.
